I am not clear what R Yehoshua holds regarding benshing.

Hi Rabbi Fink, love the podcast! I study with your podcast on the subway – is there any way to update the audio feed for today? There is only a video feed uploaded. Thank you for a great podcast!

Sorry. My mistake. It’s up now. Thanks for listening and thanks for notifying me of the issue.

    Rabbi,

Love what you’re doing. Two questions:

    1. Do you want or need any financial support for your on-going efforts?
    2. Can you share with us a sense of how many people are joining you on a daily basis? (More for curiosity.)

Thanks yet again for continuing to make the cleanest, clearest daf available in the world.

      Thanks for your kind words.

I think I am going to set up a system for dedications some time next week. That way, people who want to support the learning here can get “full credit” for whomever they wish to honor. Stay tuned for details.

We have over 300 people visiting the site on a daily basis. That is not the complete picture though because there are many more who just follow along on YouTube and yet even more who just get the iTunes podcasts.

I would estimate we have about 500 people so far who are doing this with us.

Great stuff, thanks. Using this every few days for chazarah. FYI- Daf 15, i think you explained Rav Meir’s shita backwards. He is going to be the one who says even l’chatchila its permissible for a cheresh (12:16-12:49). See Rashi’s explanation…

Thanks. But R’ Meir is the middle position. I am pretty sure.

      • Binyomin

Read through it again and let me know if you still think so- not sure i see that. Seems the Gemara is saying that Now that we are mentioning Rav Meir’s shita (that even l’chatchila its permissible), we are free to go back to understanding R’ Yehuda to be the middle position, and any other seeming contradictory statement attributed to R’ Yehuda can now instead be attributed to R’ Meir. See Rashi who explains it as such.

I think you are right according to Rashi. Thanks for the correction.
