A Message from David Katz Esq., the PJC Daf Yomi Chairperson:
Since the beginning of this Daf Yomi web site I have been approached by several people asking what they can do to support Rabbi Fink’s tremendous undertaking of this multi-year project. To that end I am pleased to announce that we are now accepting sponsorships and dedications to underwrite one or more Daf Yomi classes.
All sponsorships and dedications will be prominently displayed across many platforms. At the beginning of each class, Rabbi Fink will make an announcement thanking the sponsor and the name or names or those in whose name that evening’s class will be dedicated in accordance with the sponsor’s instructions. The iTunes podcast will indicate the dedication in the text description for the class, the YouTube video will indicate the dedication in the introduction to the class, the Daf Yomi website will announce the dedication in textual format similar to a “banner ad”. Finally, dedications will also be noted on Twitter and Facebook.
Through the use of the internet, each sponsorship or dedication can reach tens of thousands of viewers worldwide and will be seen every time someone views your sponsored class. In other words, the sponsorship doesn’t expire until, please G-d, this cycle is completed.
What a unique and fitting tribute for an individual or family to sponsor a class in memory of a loved one or their yartzeit, or to celebrate a simcha, birthday, or other important life cycle event. Even if you can’t find a particular reason to sponsor, it’s a great way to make a tax-deductible contribution to support this important site which disseminates Torah worldwide.
There are already hundreds of people tuning-in to this Daf Yomi class every day and you can help support their learning with your donation. It’s also a great way to express your appreciation for an internet based daily Daf Yomi class. The class will always be free, but your financial support would be greatly appreciated.
We hope you are enjoying the Daf and are growing spiritually. Thank you very much for being a part of our worldwide Daf Yomi community.
Here is how it works:
If you’d like to become a partner in this venture you can
- Sponsor One Daf for $100
